What is therapeutic dance, how it works and how it differs from dance therapy?
It is very similar to dance therapy, which is part of psychotherapy that uses dance and movement to express and process feelings, emotions, sensations and blockages.
Therapeutic dance does not go as deep into wounds and issues as dance therapy, but it focuses on wellbeing and inner resourses that arise as insights from the work.
I am Emiliya Kamenova, a therapeutic dance and yoga teacher, future body-oriented psychotherapist.
My passion for dance and inner work has always been part of me, and now I fully delve into it. After fruitful years in administration, projects, and EU affairs (including the European Commission), I change my career direction into this long-term wish.
I work both with adults and small children, also helping to improve the bonding between young parents and their babies or toddlers.
Besides dance, I love music and art. I always make an accurate music selection for the sessions.
